Summer Solstice Simmer Pot
Southern hemisphere: 20 - 23 December
Northern hemisphere: 19 - 20 June
Longest day of the year
Growth / Abundance / Sun’s Energy
Celebrated with bonfires, outdoor rituals and feasting.
In the Southern Hemisphere, Midsummer is celebrated around 21st December. It marks the longest day of the year and is associated with growth, abundance and the peak of the sun’s power
It is a time to honour the energy of the sun, to connect to the natural world and to celebrate the abundance of the earth. Its a time to give thanks for the goals achieved this year and the blessings in your life. Think back to the intentions you set during Yule, which falls around end of June in the southern hemisphere.
This is a great time of the year to gather and dry herbs as they are at their most potent.
DIRECTIONS: Add contents of jar to a pot or deep pan. Cover with about a liter of water and let simmer. Keep the water topped up and enjoy as the smell of Summer fills the house.
